HUSH

by Lilian Cherotich Misoi

2.am
Blush
My cheeks swell up pink,
Hush,
Dont ruin this moment, not even a blink,
Rush,
My arms, goosebumps,it’s cold I think,

3.am
You called me at 2.am,
Not to ask me over but just to talk,
I’m flattered boo I am,
I wish we could talk, or meet for a walk,

4.am
Why do you sound so low,
Like where is your cheer,or laugh, I miss,
Those were yours, not for show,
I notice they lack,so does the phone kiss,

5.am
Did you call me Bae  and not my name,
Wait are you sure it’s me you miss,
Coz you never did unless it’s a game,
You are clearly high, something’s a miss,
6.am
Don’t hang up, I missed your voice,
Hold up, my insecurities are my end,
I didn’t leave by will, I had no choice,
Coz you loved me, but just as a friend
